This is the eerie moment a huge ball of glowing light hovering in the sky sparked panic among locals - fearing it was a UFO.<br /><br />The spooky being was seen hovering in the clouds above buildings in Ocana in Norte de Santander, Colombia.<br /><br />Residents who filmed the bizarre scene feared it was an alien aircraft from another planet - while others said it could have been a flare suspended in the air.<br /><br />A man can be heard in the background of the video shouting in Spanish: 'It's not a star. It's not a plane. It's Superman!’<br /><br />While another spectator cries: 'It's moving!' exclaims another. <br /><br />Local authorities have still not released an explanation for the strange sighting - but some viewers suggested it could be part of a military training drill.<br /><br />Dixon Florez Castro said: 'The light is from a flare parachute used during military actions. 'They illuminate large areas at night, usually for parachute landings and observational operations. Here it looks more dramatic because the sky is cloudy.’
