Long Lines Form Outside Seattle's New Amazon Go Store

<p>Seattle, Washington’s new Amazon Go store drew large crowds and long lines on its opening day, Monday, January 22. The store is cashierless, with what Amazon calls</a> a “Just Walk Out Shopping Experience.”</p><p>According to Amazon</a>, the customer could download the Amazon Go app, walk into the store, grab what they want and are able to leave the store – Amazon technology can detect what items were selected and purchased. Shortly after the purchase, a receipt is sent to the customer.</p><p>The flagship store debuted on Seattle’s Seventh Street on Monday. WBIR reported</a> more than 100 customers lined up outside the store to be one of the first shoppers, and by 8 a.m. Monday, Amazon staff were restocking shelves.
