The Marine Corps is preparing to equip its infantry troops with a new combat rifle.<br />Although the M27 has been adopted by the Marines, its rollout has been slow.<br />The M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle was introduced by the Marines to replace the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon.<br />That means, one Marine in a fire team carried the M27, but now, the Corps is looking to replace all of their infantry rifles with the new weapon system.<br />Marine Corps Commandant Gen. <br />
