<p>Auckland Zoo said on Thursday, January 25, a flamingo chick born to its hand-raised flock was thriving after its birth earlier that month.</p><p>The zoo said</a> the chick was the first to be born without assistance and in front of visitors, and would also be the first to be raised by the previously hand-raised flock, which was carefully brought up by zookeepers.
