South Korea was the third largest electronics manufacturer and the fifth largest consumer of those goods last year.<br /> The Korea Electronics Association also says Korea's production scale of electronics items was 121-point-seven billion U.S. dollars last year, up ten-point-three percent from 2016.<br />That accounts for six-point-eight percent of the global total to place South Korea third.<br />South Korea edged out Japan by around five billion dollars.<br />Number one on the list was China with 38-point-one percent of the global share,... followed by the United States with 13 percent.<br />Whirlpool, which had petitioned the recent safeguard measures by the U.S., was the biggest manufacturer of electronics parts and products in North America. <br />
