<p>Police gathered on Anzac Parade in Maroubra, New South Wales, on Australia Day 2018 after reports at least one person, believed to be a police officer, had been stabbed.</p><p>The Daily Telegraph</a> reported a 50-year-old police officer was stabbed twice and the attacker was shot at the Maroubra Junction Hotel.
