This is the amazing moment a group of snorkelers experiences a close encounter with a baby humpback whale.<br /><br />The footage, captured on January 22 off the coast of Costa Rica, shows the snorkelers swimming right next to the baby whale as it surfaces. <br /><br />One of the snorkelers can be seen touching the whale before it swims back into the ocean. <br /><br />Writes the filmer: ''We had the privilege of snorkeling with a baby humpback whale.<br /><br />''He kept coming so close to us and swam right up to one of our divers, Rob. <br /><br />''He gently pushed it away and said it was really soft.<br /><br />''We never saw the mother or the escorts but I can assure you that they were there close by and keeping an eye on that youngster. <br /><br />''In all the twenty years that I have been diving in the Costa Rica Gulf of Papagayo I have never had this sort of experience before.<br /><br />''I saw into the eye of a whale and he looked deep into my soul and I was blessed.''
