This may not surprise you: Casey Affleck will NOT be presenting at the Oscars.<br /><br /><br /><br />And you don't need to be a genius to figure out why.<br /><br /><br /><br />The 42-year-old informed the academy of that he is skipping out on the biggest night in Hollywood amid sexual misconduct allegations.<br /><br /><br /><br />Casey won the Best Actor statue for his work in Manchester By the Sea in 2017, and it's customary for the past winner to present an award the following year.<br /><br /><br /><br />But when it came out that he has been accused of sexual misconduct a lot of people were hoping he would be stripped of the award.<br /><br /><br /><br />Well, this may make them happy.<br /><br /><br /><br />Sources say Casey does not want his presence to distract from the women nominated in the Best Actress category in what has been a banner year for the Time's Up and Me Too campaign.<br /><br /><br /><br />Brie Larson, who presented his award last year refused to applaud for him when he walked on stage to get his statue…<br /><br /><br /><br />And we bet she's just one of the women applauding now.<br /><br />
