This video shows what happened when I used a Hydrogen Peroxide based hair product to attempt to reduce the aged look (yellowing/browning) of what had originally been a "white" plastic product.

The treatment was successful, and I wanted to show the results for others considering this method.

I used Jerome Russell Bblonde as it was the cheapest product I could find with a small Hydrogen peroxide solution (12%). It is a gel type type, so easily sticks to plastic. I let the plastic rest in sunshine for about 2 hours after the application of the gel, turning the plastic regularly to ensure an even lightening of the plastic.

It is important to ensure the gel does not dry on the plastic, as this can case a nasty effect apparently. But 2 hours was ok in my case.

Towards the end of the video, I show a before and after photo for comparison.

The video is deliberately long, so you can see how much I applied, and how. I hope this helps others that are interested in using this method of plastic colour restoration.
