Whatsapp Update Now : https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...<br /><br />WhatsApp is testing a 'dismiss' feature that lets you demote annoying group chat admins.<br /><br />Administrators currently have the ability to remove members from a WhatsApp group by deleting them from the chat.<br /><br />The new 'dismiss' feature could let group admins take less drastic action by simply demoting other group admins to take control of the conversation.<br />With the new feature, existing administrators can choose to demote another admin at any time. After pressing the 'group info' button a pop-up menu (pictured) will then appear with the option to 'dismiss as admin' <br />The feature is currently in beta-stage testing on Android and is still under development for iOS, reports suggest.<br /><br />It is unknown when, or if, the feature will make it to the mainstream version of the app and out of testing stages. <br /><br />According to WABetaInfo, a fan site that tests new WhatsApp features early: 'At present, WhatsApp is developing this feature for iOS and it will be available soon for all users.<br /><br />'It is already enabled by default in the newest WhatsApp Google Play beta for Android 2.18.12.' <br /><br />The Facebook-owned messaging app has recently made several changes to grant more power to group chat admins, including the testing of 'restricted groups' which allowed admins to ban other members.<br />DISMISS AS ADMIN<br />The admin feature in a WhatsApp group allows users to add or remove people from the chat.<br /><br />A number of different group members can be named as admin. <br /><br />Now, the app is trialling a new 'dismiss as admin' feature which will allow group administrators to to demote one another. <br /><br />The member will then become a regular member of the group chat, with their extra privileges removed.<br /><br />Currently, it is in beta stage testing on Android and is under development on iOS.<br /> <br />As WhatsApp gives more responsibility to admins in these groups, it seems the firm is now allowing users to make sure the function is not abused.<br /><br />The 'dismiss as admin' option could work alongside the restricted groups function in future.<br /><br />Users that are admins of a private chat will be able to access the feature by tapping the 'group info' button.<br /><br />Facebook-owned WhatsApp is developing a new feature to allow users to 'dismiss' a member of the group with admin powers.
