A scuba diver based in Tanzania has captured the rare sight of two octopi mating.<br /><br />Although it's quite hard to work out where one octopus ends and another begins, the tangle of tentacles is strangely beautiful.<br /><br />The scene was captured in Mafia Island Marine Park on January 19.<br /><br />Octopus reproduction is very unusual and little studied.<br /><br />The male uses a specialised arm called a hectocotylus to transfer packets of sperm from the terminal organ of the reproductive tract (a kind of "penis") into the female's cavity.<br /><br />++MUSIC IS ROYALTY-FREE++
