Second, I really find it cute with its mouth open and 3D look. I said, it is a koi. But my husband insisted that it looks like a catfish. So, I decided to follow him and named it Origami Catfish. I hope you learned something from this tutorial. =)\r<br>\r<br>In this tutorial I used: \r<br>\r<br>▶ 1 pc Origami Paper \r<br>▶ Pen\r<br>\r<br>I highly recommend using Craft Haven Origami Paper - 500 sheets per pack.\r<br>Size: 6 inches by 6 inches\r<br>Available on Amazon.com | \r<br>\r<br>Instruction:\r<br>Step 1: Get your 1x Origami Paper, color-side down and white up.\r<br>Step 2: Create Origami Square Base. Start by folding the paper in half, horizontally. Unfold. \r<br>Step 3: Fold the paper in half, vertically. Unfold. \r<br>Step 4: Fold the paper in half, diagonally. Unfold. \r<br>Step 5: Fold the paper in half, diagonally on the other side. Unfold. \r<br>Step 6: See this DIAMOND SHAPE? Use that as the base. Take the left and right diamonds and bring them together towards the center, and squash the top diamond down. \r<br>\r<br>NOTE: Remember the first 6 steps. The result is called: THE ORIGAMI SQUARE BASE. \r<br>\r<br>Step 7: Take upper flap, fold in half upwards. \r<br>Step 8: Take left and right part of the model and fold towards the center crease.\r<br>Step 9: Repeat Step #8. Take left and right part of the model and fold towards the center crease.\r<br>Step 10: Bring the top part to a fold downward.\r<br>Step 11: Turn the model over. \r<br>Step 12: Take left and right part of the model and fold towards the center crease.\r<br>Step 13. Unfold the last two folds. Open up the model and fold following the creases, creating a petal fold. \r<br>Step 14. Fold the left and right corners towards the centerline. \r<br>Step 15: Flip the model over. \r<br>Step 16: Fold the lower parts upward, as shown. This will serve as the fin. \r<br>Step 17: Do a reverse fold for each fin. \r<br>Step 18: Rotate your model as shown. Insert your finger inside this little pocket. Hold firmly. Grab the tail, and expand. Do this very carefully. \r<br>Step 19: Dont forget to bring this down. \r<br>Step 20: Polish corners and sides. Shape the body. \r<br>Step 21: Shape the fins. Make a curve. \r<br>Step 22: I like pinching the tail, and gluing it together. \r<br>Step 23: Take your pen and add some eyes. \r<br>\r<br>I hope you enjoy this art! Enjoy origami!
