<p>An elderly man was violently assaulted and robbed of his wallet in an incident at a shopping centre in Chermside on February 4.</p><p>Police said</a> on Sunday morning at about 8am, the elderly man went to use the toilets at the centre food court when a man in hi-vis gear approached from behind and tried to take a wallet from the man’s pocket.</p><p>There was a scuffle and the 74-year-old was pushed to the ground but luckily did not sustain injury, police said</a>.
