<p>Several inches of snow fell in Ames, Iowa, on Monday, February 5, causing several weather-related traffic collisions. This timelapse video taken from Iowa State University shows the amount of snow falling on campus.</p><p>Forecasters estimated that four to seven inches of snow fell through central Iowa, the most recorded in the state during this storm, according to the Des Moines Register</a>. Dozens of traffic accidents were reported, resulting in the deaths of seven people. One of the crashes involved nearly 50 vehicles on Interstate 35.</p><p>The snow stopped at around 5 pm.
