The major stock indexes on Wall Street opened lower than they closed today.<br />After a record-breaking 2017, things were looking up for 2018.<br />But the Dow and S&P are stumbling into February.<br />The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 4-percent by mid-day trading, aftering opening down 5-percent.<br />But the S&P 500 took the hardest hits.<br />Although the S&P was down only 2-percent, its energy and financial sectors were the culprits. <br />
