100 years to the day since women were given the right to vote in Britain

After years of a tireless, and sometimes brutal, struggle, 8.5 million women over the age of 30 were able to vote for the first time in 1918. <br /> <br />Today, the region has been honouring the women who continue to make a difference in 2018.
