U.S. Vice President Mike Pence has arrived in Japan, where he will stop over before heading to South Korea on Thursday, in time for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.<br /> In Tokyo today, he's set to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe... where they are expected to talk about North Korea.<br />A joint press conference will be held afterwards, and they will likely issue a strong message to increase pressure on the regime.<br /> Then on Thursday when he arrives in South Korea, Pence will meet with President Moon Jae-in. <br />Further discussions on North Korea are expected, before they head to PyeongChang on Friday, to attend the opening ceremony of the Games.<br />The Vice President has not ruled out the possibility of meeting with North Korean officials, but formal sit-down talks are considered unlikely. <br />
