<p>A group of African immigrants painted their faces white for a demonstration outside the Rwandan Embassy in Tel Aviv on February 7, in protests against the Israeli government’s controversial decision</a> to deport thousands of African asylum seekers.</p><p>This video shows the group, identified as members of the Eritrean and Sudanese communities, holding signs that read, “Would you deport me if I was white?” and “Do Black Lives Matter in Israel?”.</p><p>The protest came as Israel began sending out deportation notices to thousands of African asylum seekers, according to The Jerusalem Post</a>.</p><p>Haaretz reported</a> that the Israeli government planned to send 20,000 asylum seekers back to Africa by 2020, many of whom were believed to have entered the country illegally.
