<p>Swimmers who were caught in a rip off the coast of Port Macquarie were rescued by a surfer and off-duty lifeguards, who happened to be training nearby on Wednesday, February 7.</p><p>The man and woman, who were tourists in the area, went for a swim at about 8 am and were later found struggling near a rock wall at the entrance to Town Beach, Port News</a> reported.</p><p>This footage shows a passing surfer joins in the lifeguards’ rescue of the pair, who try to keep their heads above water.
