Bridge in China destroyed in controlled explosion

The 60-year-old Laoshahe Bridge in central China’s Henan province was successfully blown up in a controlled explosion on February 6.<br /><br />The footage shows the destruction of the 150-meter-long bridge from different angles. A great amount of dust, smoke and debris was blasted into the Laosha River.<br /><br />The bridge was closed after it was deemed unsafe for vehicular traffic between the city of Dingcheng and Huaiyang County.<br /><br />The Dingcheng town hall has decided to build a new bridge at the same site.
