<p>Over a ton of marijuana valued at about 24 million Argentine pesos (US$1,300,000) was seized by authorities in Argentina in series of operations over February 8 and 9.</p><p>The drugs were seized by troops from the Argentine navy in “Operative 24.” The first bust of the operation, on February 8, occurred when navy officers intercepted a vessel carrying about 604 kilograms of marijuana along the Parana River, El Intransigente</a> reported.
