Jacob Zuma resigned as President of South Africa on Wednesday.<br />He heeded orders to do so by the ruling African National Congress.<br />The ouster brings an end to Zuma's nine scandal-plagued years in power.<br />Cyril Ramaphosa was elected party president in December.<br />The 75-year-old Zuma claimed that's when the ANC began shoving him toward an early exit. <br />
