Kendo is a modern Japanese martial art, which descended from swordsmanship and uses bamboo swords and protective armour.<br /><br />EVERY year, the All Japan Kendo Federation donates Kendo equipment to Kendo clubs all over the world in view of promoting Kendo, a modern Japanese martial art of sword-fighting based on traditional swordsmanship.<br /><br />The concept of Kendo is to discipline the human character through the application of the principles of the ˜Katana' (sword).<br /><br />Keeping this norm, the All Japan Kendo Federation recently made a donation of 20 full sets of Kendo equipment (bamboo swords and protective armours) to the Qatar Kendo Club for the first time.<br /><br />On behalf of the All Japan Kendo Federation, the Embassy of Japan hosted the donation ceremony at the ambassador's residence, inviting the members of the Qatar Kendo Club.<br /><br />The Qatar Kendo Club was formed in May 2012 by two founders, Abdulrahman al-Mohannadi, Director of Qatar Kendo Club, and Julian Biddulph
