A 7.2-magnitude earthquake hit southern and central Mexico on Friday evening, damaging buildings and shocking local residents.<br /><br />The epicenter of the earthquake was eight kilometers to the northeast of Pinotepa Nacional, southern state of Oaxaca, reported the National Seismological Service of Mexico. <br /><br />It is said that the tremor was felt in the Mexico City, which was 350 kilometers away from the epicenter.
