<br /> <p>A huge cloud of ash and steam rose over the Sinabung volcano in Karo Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia, following an eruption on the morning of Monday, February 19.</p><p>Indonesia’s Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (CVGHM) issued a warning notice</a> to aviators that the ash cloud had reached 24,000 feet and was expected to blow southeast-east.</p><p>This video shows the ash cloud looming over the town of Berastagi, which is located around 15 miles to the west of Mount Sinabung.
