RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the former co-host of The View filed a lawsuit to lower the assessment on her New York property before selling off multiple homes.<br /><br />In court papers obtained from Supreme Court of New York – County Of Rockland, O’Donnell filed a lawsuit against Town of Orangetown on July 29, 2016.<br /><br />READ THE SHOCKING LAWSUIT!<br /><br />In the petition, O’Donnell explained how the town of Orangetown’s assessment of her real property for the 2016/2017 tax year are “erroneous by reason of inequality” because they have been “made at a higher proportionate valuation than the assessments of other taxable real property of the same major type on the same assessment roll of the Town of Orangetown.”<br /><br />She claimed that while her property was assessed at a rate more than 49.85 percent of its full value, other property owners on the same roll was assessed at a rate of not more than 49.85 percent of its full value.<br /><br />“Petitioner is and will be aggrieved and injured by the aforesaid unequal, unjust, excessive and illegal assessments and will be required to pay a greater amount and proportion of taxes that would be required if the said assessments had been just and equal,” the complaint continued.<br /><br />her property be reduced to a “proper amount.”<br /><br />She also asked for “other and further relief as may be just and proper.”<br /><br />The case remains active.<br /><br />Earlier this week, Page Six reported that O’Donnell sold her South Nyack, NY home for $5.1 million.
