Magnitude 5.3 quake hits Taiwan, no injuries reported

A five-point-three magnitude earthquake has struck northeastern Taiwan in yet another powerful tremor to jolt the country. <br /> The epicenter of Monday's quake was about 19 kilometers southwest of Yilan County at a depth of 46-and-a-half kilometers. <br />It could be felt in most parts of the country, but no immediate casualties were reported.<br />A 6-point-0 magnitude earthquake that hit eastern Taiwan earlier this month left 17 people dead. <br />
