Disney Reportedly Bringing New 'Muppets' Series to Streaming Service The Hollywood Reporter states that 'The Muppets' are expected to come back in the form of a new TV series for the companies' upcoming streaming service. Last fall, Disney announced that it will populate its service with original films <br />and series. Disney acquired The Muppets Studio in 2004 and created a Muppets TV series for ABC, which was canceled after <br />one season. An exact debut for the streaming service is not yet known by The Verge reports it could launch sometime next year in the U.S.
