<br /> U.S. evangelist Billy Graham has died at age 99.<br />A spokesman said he died at his home in Montreat, North Carolina at 8 a.m.<br />Graham became the de facto White House chaplain to several U.S. presidents.<br />He was the first noted evangelist to take his message behind the Iron Curtain.<br />Graham’s mastery of the media was ground-breaking.<br />He was one of the first preachers to use television to reach a mass audience. <br />
