A man found out a snake lying down on a coat rack inside his house. <br /><br />The incident took place Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, on February 24. <br /><br />Rakesh Thakur, a scientist, had returned home after attending a night-long wedding ceremony. <br /><br />Tired and sleepy, he got ready to go to sleep at 6.05 am and took off his shirt. <br /><br />As he reached for the hanger, he spotted a 2.5 feet-long snake sleeping on the rack. <br /><br />He rushed out of the room to warn his flatmates who made a call to Snake Helpline, an animal rescue organisation.<br /><br />A team of volunteers led by Subhendu Mallik reached the spot in 30 minutes and managed to pluck the snake out of its perch to later released in its natural habitat.<br /><br />The snake was found to be a non-venomous Checkered Keel Back snake.
