Saudi Arabia is continuing its recent efforts to give more freedom to women by now allowing them to join the military. <br /> Saudi women have until Thursday to apply for positions with the rank of soldier in the provinces of Riyadh, Mecca, al-Qassim and Medina.<br />Their roles, however, will reportedly be restricted to more of a security position, rather than front-line combat.<br />They must fulfill 12 conditions, including certain age, weight and height requirements, and must not have any previous government employment history.<br />The move is the latest in Crown Prince Salman's social and economic reform drive, dubbed "Vision 2030." <br />
