<p>A 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck Papua New Guinea on February 26, triggering landslides, damaging buildings, and causing the closure of oil and gas operations.</p><p>The earthquake was followed by at least 13 reported aftershocks measuring 5.0 or more, including a 6.4-magnitude quake early on February 27.</p><p>Unconfirmed reports</a> stated that up to 30 people were believed to have been killed.
