Officials in southern India rescued a man who had been climbing overhead power line. <br /><br />The incident took place in South Indian city of Erode on February 24.<br /><br />The 55-year-old man had been admitted to a local government hospital by his wife and two daughters.<br /><br />After a minor altercation with his family, the man fled the hospital and ran into the streets followed by his family. <br /><br />As the family tried to get him back to the hospital, he climbed a street light, prompting onlookers to alert officials, who turned off the power supply. <br /><br />The man then started walking on the power cables, maintaining a precarious balance and spreading panic among watching officials, who tried to rescue him.<br /><br />As the officials tried to persuade him to get down, he tried to jump on to a nearby house and fell. <br /><br />He was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and doctors said he had sustained only "minor injuries."
