Good morning. Today is Daeboreum or the day when we greet the first full moon of the new lunar year. It's a cold Daeboreum with cold wave advisories in place in many regions so you'll need a warmer jacket today.

Highs, though, will be similar to yesterday,... Seoul will make it to 4 degrees Celsius. Skies will be clear all day into tonight... so many of us won't have a hard time getting a glimpse of the first full moon tonight but bundle up.

Spring warmth is on the way this weekend, but be aware of big gaps between lows and highs on Saturday.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

While the nation is in a grip of spring cold on this Daeboreum, most parts in North Korea will also see colder temperatures but sunny skies.

As for the rest of Asia, Tokyo basked in sunshine yesterday as the mercury headed toward 20 degrees in the afternoon, it won't be as warm today.

Meanwhile, Sydney's autumn is forecast to be warmer than expected. But Friday's forecast to be a wet one so have an umbrella handy.

Heading to North America, Mother Nature has a plan with a large warm ridge of high pressure dominating eastern North America. But Montreal will get some snow on Friday along with colder temperatures.

As for South America, hope those of you in Rio de Janeiro enjoyed some sunshine on Thursday as more rain is on the way starting Friday into mid-next week.

Taking you to Europe,.. the Europe and the U.K. are bracing for more snow as Winter Storm Emma moves in just days after a storm coined "The Beast from the East" closed hundreds of schools and caused transportation troubles.

Lastly to Africa, Cape Town will be cloudy with stronger winds expected in the afternoon.
