Today is the last day for employees working at General Motors plants in South Korea to apply for 'voluntary resignation,' as part of the company's attempts to stay afloat. <br /> The measures apply to some 16-thousand employees working at GM Korea's Bupyeong , Changwon , and Gunsan plants. <br />GM Korea has also set goals to restructure its upper-management, including its foreign managers.<br />The carmaker has said that if the restructuring goals are not met through voluntary resignations, it will have to lay people off.<br />
