Italian election looks set to end in hung parliament

2018-03-05 1 Dailymotion

After braving long lines, Italians cast their votes Sunday in one of the country's most uncertain election in years.
Polls have now closed and exit polls suggest a center-right coalition, led by former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, gaining the most seats in parliament, but still far short of a majority.
The anti-establishment Five Star Movement looks to be second and will likely be the largest single party.
However, as of yet, no party is expected to gain a majority to form a government and could spark political chaos in the coming days.
They may have to seek alliances, but the position of Prime Minister is expected to be hotly contested.
Exit polls have been inaccurate in the past and a new electoral system has only added to the unpredictability of this year's election.
Campaigns have been dominated by immigration and the economy, with far-right parties pushing anti-EU sentiment.
