<br /> Actor/musician David Ogden Stiers died this week at age 75 from bladder cancer. <br /><br />The Star Trek website is honoring the actor, who appeared on "Star Trek: The Next Generation."<br /><br />Stiers played Dr. Timicin in the episode “Half a Life,” where his character must undergo a ritual suicide called "The Resolution." <br /><br />This allows the elderly to pass on with dignity and not burden their children.<br /><br />But Timicin falls in love with Deanna Troi’s mother, Lwaxana, and begins to question his culture. <br />
