Tornado Touches Down in Faro, Portugal

<p>The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) said</a> a tornado touched down in Faro, Algarve, on Sunday, March 4.</p><p>Video from Algarve residents, shared on social media, showed damage to buildings and downed trees in the wake of the storm that the IMPA said was a F1 tornado on the Fujita scale. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration</a> (NOAA) said an F1 tornado could generate winds of between 73-112 mph.</p><p>Diario de Noticias</a> reported that the storm caused damage to homes, a shopping mall and a football stadium in Faro.
