Good afternoon, the regions in the east and Daejeon have turned into a winter wonderland.
The picture behind me was taken in Daejeon this morning, the city is covered in a thick blanket of snow.

While showers are easing up in the western parts of the country, regions in the east, including Gangwon-do and Gyeongsang-do provinces, could see some snow until tonight.

In fact, heavy snow alerts are in place for Daegu and many places in the east of the country. Parts of Gangwon-do Province have seen more than 15 centimeters of snow so far.

Mountainous regions of Gangwon-do Province and the east coast could see heavier snowfall, and PyeongChang, where the Paralympics will kick off on Friday, is also covered with a thick blanket of snow.

And along with the snow and rain, there's been a big drop in temperatures, especially for the southern regions. Daegu will only make it to 5 degrees while Seoul will reach 9 degrees, with some sun expected in the afternoon.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
