GM CEO Mary Barra announced the automaker plans to ramp up production of the Chevy Bolt during 2018.<br />According to Barra, GM is picking up the pace of their electric vehicle production since Tesla is struggling to mass produce the Model 3.<br />The Chevy Bolt is GM's similar sized model.<br />Barra added that they offer 5 different electric vehicles, including the Volt and Bolt models from Chevy.<br />GM drivers have already covered 2.6 billion miles on the road in electric vehicles, but GM's latest decision also hopes to encourage more momentum for global demand of EVs. <br />
