The Kerala HC told CBI to take over investigation of the Shuhaib murder case. CBI counsel informed the court that it is ready to investigate if the court tells it to do so. Pronouncing the judgement, Justice B Kemal Pasha said that the CBI should probe it as a fresh case in order to bring out the truth. The court felt that the police investigation is not satisfactory. Congress leader K Sudhakaran said that the court verdict is a set back to the state government. The case diary will be handed over to the T'puram CBI unit. The Kerala High Court had earlier inquired about the motive behind the murder of Shuhaib.
