Panic gripped in a village near Mysore, India, when a cell tower, erected on the roof of a house, caught fire on February 28. <br /><br />Video, which has only just emerged, shows the tower on fire and a huge plume of smoke rising into the sky.<br /><br />By the time fire tenders rushed to the spot to put down the fire, the tower had been completely burnt. <br /><br />No one was injured in the incident as the residents of the house rushed out to safety. <br /><br />Eyewitnesses said they saw smoke coming out of the tower and fire spread quickly engulfing it. <br /><br />Shocked people of the neighbourhood said there should be a ban on installing cell towers on roofs.<br /><br />Police have registered a case and are probing the cause of fire.
