Four U.S. scientists and a contractor stranded in an Antarctic camp have been rescued by the Argentine navy.<br /> They were to be picked up by an American icebreaker, but it wasn't able to reach them due to thick sea-ice.<br />The five were carrying out research on Joinville Island off the north-eastern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula before being airlifted Monday onto another ice breaker.<br />They are said to be in good health and will be transported to their own vessel when weather conditions improve. <br />
