Simeon faced Marist (27-5) in the Illinois 4A Sectional finals at Thornton HS (Harvey, IL). Led by All-area senior point guard Morgan Taylor, Marist threw the first punch.<br />The RedHawks started the game 8-0. And Marist led by 9 as late as the fourth quarter, 41-32.<br />Marist out-shot and out-rebounded #1 Simeon but things turned in the late stretches of the game. Led by seniors Talen Horton-Tucker, Messiah Jones and junior Kejuan Clements, Simeon went on a huge 14-3 run late.<br />Simeon won 53-48.
