This rare sun halo amazed onlookers when it was seen in Manila on February 26. <br /><br />The optical phenomenon was caused by light reflecting through ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere.<br /><br />It produced a blindingly beautiful double circular rainbow effect surrounding the mid-day sun over the city in South East Asia.
