South Korea has confirmed that Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will also meet with her Japanese counterpart, Taro Kono, during their mutual visits to Washington.<br /> The foreign ministry says they will meet on Saturday to discuss the North Korea situation and related matters.<br />Kang is expected to brief Kono on the progress of the inter-Korean talks, as well as the U.S.-North Korea talks.<br />It will be their first meeting since January.<br />They had originally intended to meet with the ousted Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, but despite his dismissal both decided to travel to Washington anyway. <br />
