THE FRIENDLY SKIES — United has been on quite the tear when it comes to animal related incidents.

Last Thursday, United Flight 3996 from Newark to St. Louis actually had to be diverted because the geniuses found a dog was accidentally aboard the plane, according to USA Today.
The four-legged flier was supposed to be in Akron, Ohio, but was put on the wrong flight, airline spokeswoman Maggie Schmerin told CNN.

The plane actually had to take a extra two hour detour to drop the pup off to its owners.
United's blunder made a two-hour trip into a four-hour escapade for passengers, who were apparently compensated for the delay — hopefully not with a free United flight.
Last week wasn't the best for United in terms of animal customer service. They suffocated a lady's French bulldog puppy and sent another dog to Japan instead of Kansas.

United needs to seriously consider only carrying pets from now on. What could go wrong?
