The European Union's Brexit negotiator Michelle Barnier and his UK counterpart David Davis have agreed a deal for a British withdrawal from the EU.<br /> After talks on Monday, both sides reached a two-year transition deal, which the UK is calling an implementation period, to give Britain time to adjust after leaving the bloc in March next year.<br />The deal will give the UK access to the single market and customs union, as well as allow the movement of businesses and people for 21 months after Brexit. <br />However key sticking points remain, including the issue of keeping open the Irish border. <br />
