Facebook is being pursued by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission over a massive data leak. <br /> The FTC is probing how Cambridge Analytica, a British data analytics firm hired by Donald Trump's presidential campaign, obtained the personal data of 50 million Facebook users.<br />It is reviewing whether Facebook violated a 2011 consent decree regarding the firm's privacy protections, and whether Cambridge Analytica used the data for political gains.<br />U.S. and EU lawmakers have also demanded Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg provide answers as to why his firm failed to inform its users of the data leak.<br />Both firms deny any wrongdoing. <br />
