The man believed to be behind a wave of bombings in Austin, Texas blew himself up on Wednesday as a SWAT team closed in on him. <br /> Police identified the suspect as 23-year-old as Mark Anthony Conditt and tracked him down to a hotel just north of Austin.<br />They were following his vehicle when he pulled to the side of the road and detonated a device, killing himself.<br />He is believed to be responsible for five bombings since the start of the month that killed two people and injured five others in Austin and San Antonio.<br />His motive remains a mystery and police are scrambling to see if any more bombs remain in those areas. <br />
